Voice of Gowanus is a coalition of community organizations and individual citizens opposed to Mayor De Blasio and Councilmember Brad Lander's efforts to create an unhealthy environment for current and future residents of Gowanus with their plan to rezone the neighborhood.

For nearly two decades, our elected representatives have spent more time trying to meet the goals of real estate developers than working to remediate the Gowanus Canal’s toxic legacy. In fact, they worked against residents' efforts to have the Gowanus Canal declared an EPA Superfund site.
